RE: Deer hunting dog killers
It's odd everyone hates tresspassers and poachers. No one wants to give them a second chance. However, I'm expected to never shoot a dog, no matter how many times it tresspasses and no matter how many deer it kills or attempts to kill? Sure I know a dog doesn't know where "his" property starts and ends, but his owner does. Folks we aren't talking about shooting a dog that one time goes beyond his owners fence and enters my woods. We are talking about a dog that does it over and over. His owner is letting him do it!
I'll say it again, I can not believe that any of you who would "never" shoot a dog, have had dogs chasing deer time and again on your property. If you have had this problem and just let it go on because "dogs will be dogs" then you don't care much about your deer herd.
Again, the owners are the problems but the owners aren't around when the dogs are 1/2 mile from home chasing deer. A dog chasing a deer for hunting purposes is wrong by almost everyone of ya'll's standards. But as long as the dog is just chasing the deer to maul it or kill it, I guess it's ok?
