RE: How come?
Around here, you spend more time looking for a tree that a climber can be used in instead of hunting where you want to. I had a Summit Viper and I found myself compromising where I actually wanted to hunt for a tree that the climber would actually work in. She really likes the Double Bull blinds that we have, but I am a firm believer in getting in a tree and 25' up for better success. Whitetaildeer are just too aware of their environment to just willingly accept a freshly brushed in ground blind with a same day setup consistantly. The blinds are too expensive to leave out even though we hunt private ground; there is no way I am going to leave a $400 blind out all night. I am hoping that next year she will be able to hang her own Lone Wolf sticks and stand. She has only been hunting for a year and heights get to her. She likes my 15' ladder stands, but they are heavy, hard to carry, and difficult to move quietly.
