RE: LAND LEASES BAD FOR HUNTERS?
My thought, it's not leasing that's ruining hunting, it's urban sprawl and population growth in general that's the root cause of the problem.
It's not the leaser's fault. Someone is now willing to pay $500 to hunt their 40 that is just sitting there. 20 years ago there was much more wooded land and less people = no demand for leases.
You can't stop supply and demand!
ok, holler, I agreed with you to some extent when you started the thread. now i think you are going off the deep end. Most leasers aren't looking for endorsements or looking to compensate for physical traits. They are just looking for a place to hunt. You can't blame someone for leasing land. everyone admits it's harder to find land to hunt.
if spending $1000 to hunt didn't bother you financially, and you had nowhere else to hunt, you would do it too!
