Default RE: Bushnell Elite Scopes vs. Leuopold VX or Vari-X

Speaking from experience....

I have a 4200 Elite 1.5 to 6 on a Ruger Express 77 Mk11 300 Win Mag.
I have a Leupold VX 111 1.5 to 5 on a Win M. 70 7mm.08.
I have a Leupold VX 111 2.5 to 8 on a Win M. 70 300 WSM.

Bushnell is a bit brighter and Rainguard definitely works well.
Bushnell has shorter eye relief and is bigger & heavier.

Leupold has excellent eye relief and is compact & light.
Leupold does not have anti fog or rain sheeting.

Both have equally good warranties.

The Bushnell was an experiment with me and although I like it OK, I'll probably not buy another because of the eye relief and size. The VX111 is my preference. I've never had a problem with it fogging or with so much rain on the lense I couldn't site. I love the compactness, the eye relief, the ruggedness.

If $$$$$$ is a big part of the decision go with the Bushnel Elite, you'll never be unhappy with this scope. gg.
