I have this gun with a bushnell 1.5x4.5 scope and I think it is the perfect gun for deer. It is very reliable, accurate and will put the biggest deer down with ease. There are many who knock the 30-30 However after shooting it for 3 years now I take it on my MN deer hunts and leave the .270 home.
Did you sneak into my house and steal my gun!?
That is the exact same set-up that I have and it works very well for out to 125-150 yards. I am even more suspicious that you stole mine as I am from MN as well!
