When I say "large hogs", I killed one bowhunting that tipped the scales at 563lbs. and one was trapped on our lease that weighed 602lbs.......so yeah, LARGE HOGS.
Does that change any opinions on caliber choice?
Man, that's a lot of pork! .30-06, .308, .270, .280, 7mm-08. Of course, I'm Magnum-Recoil averse. If you're not, the 7 Mag would be agood choice. Something relatively new to check out that would work really well, IMHO, is the .338 Federal.
