Dropped my Bow in the creek
Hello All,
This is my first post in the bowhunting section of this website. I have been lurking here for a long time but this is the first time I felt a real need to post. This is my first year bowhunting and have found the threads and posts on this forum very helpful.
Here is my dillema, coming back from my treestand this evening I dropped my bow in a small creek that I had to cross. The bow was not wet for very long and when I got home the bow and the string seemed to be pretty dry or perhaps a little damp. I just bought the bow new this spring and have not waxed the string yet. I guess I'm posting because I'm wondering if I need to do any thing to the bow or should I be concerned with the bow string on any thing else on the bow because of the soaking. I think every thing else is fine with the bow ( sights cams etc.) But I haven't wanted to shoot it until dries out. Do I need to be concerned about the string shrinking or stretching.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Fred
