Hate to hear that mobow. Keep at it and you'll put one on the ground. The only good news from my neck of the woods is that I got my first guided kill on Monday morning. I briefly mentioned it yesterday but didnt have time for a story. Basically I was walking across the big green field that overlooks a small pond, heading back to the truckand the dam that the deer usually cross in the morning, when I looked down on the edge of a briar thicket and saw a 3.5 year old 8. I really looked at him hard and decided he isnt what I want. So I layed down and called my dad and told him what was going on. He decide he would try to sneak around down wind of him and try to get in range. I agreed with the gameplan and about 15 minutes later I caught a glimpse of him poking his head around a big oak. I couldnt believe the old man snuck 30 yards from that deer without him knowing! I watched him draw back and saw the arrow stick right behing the shoulder. The buck got up and went 30 yards and plowed into the ground. I was so happy for him, I was actually shaking pretty fierce myself! Heres the lucky hunter::
