BuckHarden, I have read more bad reports on Remington than Savage lately, but I do visit several forums. Most of the negative stuff has to do with the Mod 710, but some also on the 700, although I think operator error is likely the culpret. If you want the most accuracy for your dollar Savage will win every time. If you would rather have pretty than preformance then buy Remington. By the way the last scope to go south around here was a Leopold, so more money doesn't always mean better. JMO, Glenn
