Default RE: This Mathew's fan is considering the UNTHINKABLE!

The Cam and a Half system is not a dual cam system. By definition a dual cam has to have two identical cams...hence the term "dual cam". The Cam and a Half is trully a hybrid.

Todd,

Though most of your questions have been answered, let me add my two cents...

1. Yes. Though it has been in development for the past 3 years.

2. The Spiral cam is faster because it has a stiffer draw force curve. It rises to its peak draw weight faster and has a much shorter valley. It is also only offered with an adjustable draw stop that goes from 55% to 65% letoff. The normal Cam and a Half is offered in either 65% or 75% letoff. This is determined with the use of different draw length modules.

3. The XT2000 limbs are multilayer, carbon/glass split limbs. They are not solid limbs like those found on Mathews, Parker, Bowtech, etc.. If you meant "solid" as in reliable, consistant, etc... then, yes, I would agree....they are. I have owned several bows from the Hoyt lineup over the last three production years that the XT2000 limbs have been used and I have never had a problem with them nor have I heard of any of them being brought back for repair or replacement.

4. The Ultratec is probably the better combo bow (3D and hunting) but I prefer the Cybertec overall.
