did I tell you my son put a stalk on a doe back during the fall turkey season (overlaps early archery for deer) and got within 20 yards without spooking her? He was coming to full draw when she stepped into the thicket and never returned. Man, he was PUMPED!

The youth pastor at our church took up bow hunting this year and put a stalk on three does feeding in a field for crying out loud! I asked him how he hid and he said he belly-crawled through a wet ditch. He scored his first bow kill after a belly-crawl through mud, came up to one knee when they all three turned away, drew and waited for the clear animal to turn. She did and he put supper on the table. What an incredible story for anyone, much less a newbie. I think that's one preacher that's ready for western mulies!
