IF Polaris' reliability has improved over the last 2 years doesn't mean much. 2 years doesn't equal a "good track record" to me.

We have all heardPolaris owners say, "It was in the shop more than the woods", "Good thing we had a tow rope", "Man, this thing needs repair more often than maintenance!", "Good thing my buddy was there to get me back to the truck.".

You just don't hear that very often at all about Honda or Yamaha, do you?
