Default RE: bow hunting for small game

I love sneaking after squirrels almost as much as chasing whitetails! With a handmade bow and a quiver full of wooden arrows, I can have quite an entertaining day. Squirrels and rabbit sized critters may get anything from broadheads to Judos to steel blunts to 30-30 brass zipped at them. (30-30 shell casings cut off at the neck and epoxied onto the arrow for blunt duty, weigh 120 grns) For groundhogs, I prefer broadheads.

The other week I managed to get out to hunt the last day of our fall small game season. I found this sneaky squirrel hiding about 20 feet up in the fork of a tree. A healthy smack from my steel blunt evicted him from his perch. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
