First day out with the bow this month. Went to the leased place. For those in the know, all was cool with the stands and all was quiet people wise. As for deer, finally saw some tonight. Funny how some quiet woods and colder weather will do that. Nothing got close to me and nothing has been hitting the corn I put out last Sunday. But as soon as the sunset the deer came out of the traditional bedding area and into the field across the way and eventually into our woods. My father balked at todays hunt because he's duck hunting in NJ tomorrow. We'll the deer walked right past his ground spot. I had to call him and rub it in. I'll be there tomorrow. Of course, since it is a Saturday and youth day there's a good chance people will be out and about with guns tomorrow and may screw things up, but with the amount of water around my stands and lack of sign in those areas, hoping they repeat todays performance is the best bet. We'll see.
