As a resident of alberta I would actually recommend B.C. for a nonresident to book an elkhunt.Alberta does have some good elk but B.C. has a much higher population and the success rates tend to be higher in many locations.The best hunting is probably in northern B.C. in the muskwa,prophet river areas as I have hunted there and turned down six point elk every day which is something that is quite rare in elk hunting outside of very exclusive high priced ranches or native reservations.
