Well I guess I am just the odd man out. I had a 30-30 and it was scoped. And all my friends 30-30's are scoped. I had a 3x 9 x 40 on it. My reason for that kind of magnification was because I wanted to be able to look the deer over real well. My eyes are not the best in the world, and it helps me to get a good look at the deer.
