Default RE: 30-30 scoped?

$369 for a small 1.25-4x20 scope?!?!Man, that's about the cost of a brand new 30-30 anyway!

I had a fixed 4x32 scope on my Marlin 30AS, and it was okay, but the recticle broke or lost its "zero", so I took it off along with the weaver base. I just use my 30-30 in the heavy thick stuff and it's fine. Where I hunt, I don't intend to make a 50 yard shot. Plain iron sights still work fine and do the job for me.

With the new Leverevolution ammo, putting a scope on a 30-30 would be beneficial, but again, it all depends on where you hunt and what you intend to use the 30-30 for anyway.

Edit: P.S. I am just used to shooting my 30-30 with open sights and like how it handles that way. I doubt if I will put a scope on it again... Some people scope their 30-30's. Others don't. Whatever floats your boat....
