RE: What is the best deer dog out there?
You should check out Weimaraner's. We just got one last week and I will be using her for mainly tracking wounded/dead deer. They are supposed to be very good dogs for this and also very good bird dogs. They are just an all around good hunting dog but they are also indoor family dogs as they do not take good to an outdoor kennel life. If you are looking to keep the new dog inside you should check out the Weimaraner breed. I have done alot of research on these dogs so if you have any questions about them I will do my best to help you with anything. Note, I am not saying these are the "best" deer tracking dogs but they are very good at it and have everything else in a hunting dog I was looking for. Hope this helps.
