It's strange that last year shockwaves did not shoot well for me. I did lap the barrel because I had trouble loading sabots and I didn't try them again after that. Hopefully on the 18th I will get a chance to try out the shockwave on a fat NY buck.
Thompson Center changes their plastic sabot diameters occasionally. Could be why you are finding inconsistencies when loading them. Buy them from a high-volume hunting store for most recent offerings. If tough-loading continues, try the Super-Glide Shockwaves in the ugly
yellow plastic sabots.
