Default Has anyone shot the PSE Marauder

Hello all! I don't post much but I've been a member here for a long time. I check out the sporting dog section a lot too because I hunt squirrels with dogs.

Anyway, I've had a PSE Nova for about five seasons. I realize it was an entry level bow, but that is what I wanted for a while. It served me well enough, but recently, I went to the pro shop to get some new arrows. I told the guy, "I will buy some nice arrows from you if you don't sell me a new bow." I said that because pro shop owners always put down my Nova, and it always bugs me because I am trying to give them business and all they want to do is bash my choice of equipment. I do a lot of hunting, so I just can't buy the "MOST EXPENSIVE" things. I have to balance out bowhunting, rifle hunting, and of course, my squirrel dog hunting (which has year-round expenses).

Anyway, this pro shop owner actually helped me out when he noticed I had a cracked limb on my Nova. For the first time, somebody had a legitimate reason to convince me my bow was not up to par. Yes, I can get it fixed on warranty, and I am doing that, but I am also planning on just buying a new bow. I would like to spend about $200 for the bare bow. I have a no-peep site, pins and nice arrow rest to put on my new bow. All I will need is new arrows.

This shop has the PSE Marauders that are usually $259 for $199 right now. I was told that these bows are the same bow as the old PSE Thunderbolt that was around a few years ago and sold for somewhere between $300-$400.

I grabbed one of these bows and reserved it, and I am going up there tonight to complete the purchase. Anybody ever shot this bow. It seems to be about 2-3 steps up from my Nova. It is a one-cam, and I think it should suit me well for another 5-6 seasons. Any word on this model?
