Default Easy First Kills

I remembered a friend my dad brought hunting with us. The guy has never hunted, did not own a gun, but wanted to go hunting. He borrowed a gun and we took him hunting. My dad dropped him off on the river bank and told him to walk in the woods about a hundred yards and just set down. About 30 minutes later he kills a nice 8 point. Monday when they got back to work he returns the borrowed gun and when asked about his hunt he replies "I will never hunt again, it was nothing to it, no challenge."

I told this story wandering how many people have missed out on the challenge of deer hunting due to stories like this. I was not fortunate. I hunted for 5 years before killing my first doe. The other point I was thinking about is the post about the young kids making unethical shots and not valuing their kills because deer are over populated where they hunt..It is not a challenge to them..Like shooting ducks in a barrel. Thanks for letting me ramble.
