I myself use a S&W mod 29 in 44 mag w/ 6.5 inch barrel. Havent seen anything I couldn't bring down yet. I recently added a red dot scope and it helps with my old age thing..LOL I hope you do well with whatever you decide to use. I can only add one thing..practice practice practice
