I hunted thurs. friday. sat.

I had the best hunt of my life on friday morning. in central NY. madison county(then it turned bad). 8:20am 30 degrees sun shine and a nice 9 pt. walks out in front of me. I pull the bow back let the shot rip and it hits it mark. The buck runs in a complete circle andthen run along side a swamp. I wait about 45 mins. and start to track with my cousin, we find blood and no arrow.The arrow is stuck in the deer!! we continue to track and walk up on it all of a sudden the buck jumps up and starts to run full speed about 30 yards and runs right off the cliff. Falls off about 120 to 130 feet i guess into a rock pit. We have to leave and drive to this area on the other side of the mountain and when we get there. There is the deer arrow and all with the rack all broken and the body all ripped up from hitting the rocks and floor on the trip down. My original 9 pt. turned into a spike about on 1 side and nothing but broken knub on the other. YOU WANT to talk about a bad hunting experience. never in a million years could i have dreamed of something like this. But i got the arrow back and that wasn't even broken, even after the fall.
