RE: New Remington 710 rifle
Didn't mean to strike a Savage nerve but here goes:
Using a nut to attach a barrel to the receiver instead of threading it and actually headspacing is rediculous.110 bolts are even more silly. The safety is weak, and the triggers are horrible, especially that rooty poo Canjar wannabe Set Trigger they make now.
However I have re-barrelled a few (without the nut), replaced the triggers and they shot really well. But they were still Savages.
There's a reason why custom builders use 700's, Mod 70's, 98's, and Dakota's,..and not Savage.
