Default RE: RAGE BROADHEADS

[/align]I have replied to several posts about these heads. I know more than one person who has had a problem with them. One of them is the archery pro at my local shop. I was talking with him about them before he hunted with his three blades. I thought at the time that they took to much energy to open. I stabbed one into a heavy cardboard box three times before it would open. He took them out and shot a doe.He never recovered the deer, and found six small drops of blood. That doesn't add up considering the 1.5" cutting diameter. He took the other two heads{ since he didn't recover the arrow as well } and tried the same thing I did with the cardboard. He then threw the other two heads in the trash. He told me he spoke with a rep. who finally admitted the might have had a bad batch of broadheads. He { the rep.} said the blades might have been to loose, causing the blades to jam in place. He offered to exchange the three blades for some Two blades. Bowhunters are fickel though, fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. I offer the same alternative to every one asking about Rage heads. Try RockyMoutain Snypers two blades or Snyper xp3 three blades. Thse are what the rage heads a modeled after and a superior head in many ways. The makers of the Block bought Rocky Mountain Broadheads and decided the Snyper line wasn't marketed well so they came up with Rage heads.I have heard bad things about the two blades as well But I can't remember who told me and exactly what went wrong. I think it wasn't opening the first time and the second time it opened in flight. Good luck with your search and please take a serious look at the Snypers. I f you can't find them in the stores try on line, it's worth the time you'll spend on them.
