I have two entrances as well as exits into this stand site. The first being entering the woods behind a barn and walk a four wheeler path all the way to it, probaly about a mile and a half. The scrapes are right next to this quad path. OR I can walk along the corn field and there is an opening of a quad path I can walk to my stand which is only about 50 yards total once I get into the woods and out of the fields. I kicked up 2 does today walking out of the woods taking the first route. Also out of the four bucks I saw today 2 came out of the thicket to my left and were crazing on acorns or whatever else they could find and then the other 2 came from my right out of the field so they are coming from both directions. Wind is usually a west wind which is great keeping it in my face at all times and the deer are coming in from the front. However right before I left the wind began to swirl and one of the bucks tried circling me and picking some type of scent up but was unsucessful and came back about 15 yards from my stand to continue crazing. I would like to think the $500.00 or so I invested in scentblocker equipment hadsomething to do with that.
