If you want a good scope for the money Nikon Prostaff has a 4-12x40 i believe its only like 149.00 and it is a really good scope. The banner isn't bad but the Nikon has better reveiws, it's all in what you like and can afford.
Good choice, but I don’t believe he needs that high magnification. The Nikon ProStaff is a 95% light transmitting scope. No other scope in the same price range can compare. Your rifle is only as good as the optics! Go with the Nikon ProStaff 2X-7X 32 mm objective. Cabelas list for $130. You will not regret paying the extra money on this scope. I have the 3-9 ProStaff with the new BDC reticle. Awesome scope. Clear as day and the BDC on my 7 mag works quite well. Trust me on this; the better scopes are worth the money!
