This is a funny story, 2 years ago on opening morning of deer season one of my uncles friendshot a fairly nice buck. (9 pointer probably around 120 inches; nothing too special.) wellabout 15-20 minutes before he got this deer we heard a shot on the neighbors land. anyway fastfoward about a hour and a half. we had the deer field dressed and hangin. the other landowner came over bc he said that a buck he had hit good came over on our land. well we showed him this deer and he claimed it as his own. but that is impossible because my uncles friend dropped him in his tracks and there was only 1 entrance and 1 exit hole. After a big dispute and a lot of wasted time he got it through his thick head that he had a clean miss. Even though this probably doesnt solve your problem, it was closely related so i thought i would share
