In NYS there are now several areas that have a 3 point per side rule, and I really hope they don't implement this throughout the state. I know for a fact that in a couple of these AR areas doe permits are also not very easy to get either. So where does this leave a hunter? He can't shoot a doe and has to wait for at least a 3 point per side buck. Add to this the slim prospects of even finding a place to hunt and I think many hunters will be better off hanging up their weapons!

State game commissions have the duty to control the game populations which has absolutely NOTHING to do with how many points a buck has on its head. I just can't believe that the anti-hunters have not made an issue out of this yet. I think most non-hunters can accept hunting when it's done for putting meat on the table. But if they knew that the state is managing the herd for trophy hunters, I think they would have a very different and negative view of it all. And we WON'T be able to blame the anti-hunters for this one since many hunters want these AR's. We will be inflicting a mortal wound upon ourselves with these AR's in one way or another. This I can assure everyone.
