They were a very nice rifle I always wanted one badly in my youth when I worked in a sportings goods store. Back then they in the late 70's early eighties they sold new for about $500. I believe they stopped making them in the early to mid eighties as the Colt Sauer anyway.

I believe the sauer company is still around which was JP Sauer and Sons out of Germany I think.
