I use to shoot Sierra bullets on a regular basis and i still have several boxes in the cabinet but i don't use them anymore. I was shooting the 150gr Pro hunters in my 30.06 and i killed many deer with that bullet but i also lost several while using it. I can recall one nice buck that i shot at around100yds and the bullet didn't pass thru but fortunately i did recover the animal. When i dressed the buck i found the bullet in several pieces which i didn't like at all. I also shot several other deer at different ranges that i didn't get a pass thru on and maybe i shouldn't be complaning because i did recover the animals but the bullets were in pieces inside the animal and i just lost confidence in that bullet. Most of those deer that the bullet felled to exit i had to use a dog to trail because there was very little blood and these shots were in the boiler room. Now all this happened at least 15yrs ago and maybe the bullets are better now i don't know but i moved on a never looked back. After the Sierra's i went to Hornadys interloc and had very good success with those andi used them right up until theintroduction of the accubond which is what i currently shoot. However, iwouldn't hesitate to go back to the hornady if i had to because it's a good bullet. I know i don't need apremium bullet for deer but i love the accuracy and performance of the accubond so i'm in the same boat as Bigbob, all my hunting rifles now shoot Nosler Accubonds. These things are deadly accurate in every rifle i've loaded them for and their performance on game has been excellent.

These bonded bullets hold together well & penetrate great (like designed) but they don't leave the large wound chanell & tissue damage you get from seperating lead (not as many DRT).
I don't know what bonded bullet you were shooting but my experience with the Nosler Accubond has been totally opposite. In the past two years i've shot 6 deer with these bullets and findings thus far is this.....the entry hole is the size of a pencil, exit hole a little bigger thana nickel with a fist sized wound channel and massive tissue damage. Two of those six ran and the other four fell in the scope when i squeezed the trigger. The two that did run fell within sight and only ran 30yds and left a bloodtrail ray charles could follow. When i dressed theseanimals the wound channel was huge with devastating tissue damageso i don't know how they ran anywhere. IMO it just doesn't get much better than that.
