Sent the 25/06 tikka back on 9/28 got it back 10/18,think that was pretty fast service.Don't know what they did to it but it works now.Compareing the crown to my 308 and friends tikka's looks like the crown was touched up.Whatever the best thing is that now it shoots consistantly.
Shot it friday and every load I shot in it was one inch or less several were one holers except for one load,that load I had loaded with 2 different primers,with one I got the biggest group about 2 inches with the other I got 1/4 in group.Was at a friends house then that has a 100 yd range in his back yard,let him shoot some groups and he couldn't believe how the rifle had changed since he shot it last time.He has a bunch of tikkas and sako's.
Went back to the public range yesterday where I shoot every week with a buddie that can really shoot.He had kept the rifle a few weeks before I had sent it back and gave up on it.I let him shoot it first and he couldn't believe the rifle had changed that much.He had brought several loads that he had tried before and every one of them shot less than an inch at 100 yds,some were one holer and some were less than 1/2 inch.
When I got it back I started to just leave it in the box and sell it because all they sent back was a copy of a target that they had shot and no explanation what they did.But decided to put the scope back on and give it a try,sure glad I did,now don't know which load I want to shoot in it.
