MO Bowhnter got it right. Height helps but is by far and away not the key factor. The backdrop and camoflague is what counts. I have one stand in particular that I love to hunt. It'sonly 12' high and I have never been busted. I'm conceled in a trunk grouping with big thick branches behind me.Ifyoudo get busted, as you have,that deerWILL remember (doubtfully the next season). My suggestion is to move into a neighboring tree if possible.
