Default Close encounter with big buck

I went to a spot about 5 miles from my house tonight and had a close encounter. I was set up on a trail that leads to a soybean field. About 6:30 I stood up as I usually do for the last 20 min or so of light. I look down the trail and see some bushes moving. I look thru my binocs and see a nice buck thrashing some bushes 40 yds away. I get a good look at him and judge him to be at least 130 inch 8 pointer with really long tines. He finishes thrashing the bush and heads down the path towards me. He stops to nibble on some leaves. By this time it is getting pretty dark. I snap the glow stickin my sight just in case. Now the buck is 32 yds away but angled to me with branches in the way. Then he turns off the path and angles away from me. I grunted at him a couple of times and he looked back once but just kept walking away. By the way the wind was in my favor the whole time. By now it is really dark and I was shaking like a leaf. Part from the buck and part from the 40* temp and and cold winds. I waited a good while before I got down and headed out. SOOOOO CLOSE but yet so far!!!! I have to work late Mon.-Wed. but I know where I will be Thursday night after work.
