~30 yrs ago, I shot at a buck almost directly below me. The arrow did not have any visible bloodor viceral matter on it,but there was a very thin layer of fat on it. The shot went out the brisket, and the arrow had been wiped"clean". I found the buck about 200 yds away after~1.5 hrs. I backtracked, and the only blood was in the last 25 yds when he stumbled.
