RE: Help-Phesant Shotgun
First consideration - which one do you shoot the best? Which one is more comfortable to carry for you? What are they choke at? Got choke tubes? Are they released birds or all wild?
Use the gun you can hit with. Its worth it even if its a bit heavier. I'm not a big believer in 3 shots on an excaping bird. If you can't hit it in 2 you probably shouldn't be taking a third. Got dogs? What kind? If a pointer choke the gun a little looser than if a flusher. You'll more likely know when the bird is going up with a pointer. Released birds - will generally fold a little easier when shot, more likely to get a close flush; use a more open choke. Wild birds are subject to going up wildly and running forever - modified choke. Lots of stuff to think about.
If it were me, I'm partial to doubles and would settle on the Citori. On tame birds I'd go IC and Mod. On wild birds go Mod/Mod or Mod/Full/. Have a good hunt.
