I don't like the idea of somebody telling me I can't shoot a certain buck because they deem it not "worthy" to shoot or they want to increase "trophy" deer. A trophy to memay not be a trophy to hunter A or hunter B. So why force it on hunters. For those that do it on their own, that's fine. If I hade 3-4-500+ ac. I probably would implement some type of management. But I don't and hunt next to State land. I am interested to see how the pilot program works. If it is an overwhelming success, I might change my tune.

There is another movement in central NY to have antler resrtiction based on width (I think this is a better way to do the restriction thing, if it were to be done). However this group wants also limit the number of bucks a hunter can take to 1. That rubs me wrong when I purchase tags to take 2 bucks (bow, gun). All in all I think it is better left alone.
