RE: hunting boots
I am on my second pair of Danner's. First pair were awesome and lasted manyyears with no troubles.2nd areDannerCanadian's 800 gram/all leather, gortex bootie and rubber sole. Newest pair are2 years old, super comfortable-light for all leather, great gripping sole, warm and dry. Couldn't be happier. Never tried Pronghorns but have heard good reviews.
I also have Red Wing "Irish Setters" Stalkers(i believe) 800 grams/rubber sole/light weight/gortex they have served me very well for6 years as my winter/hunting boot.No leaksand for a boot that cost me 100 bucks I also couldn't be happier.
