Default RE: HOT, GKF 2003 line-up!!!!

Let me quote Looking4Xs from another forum. First, "What I will say though is that GKF wouldn't put their name behind something which isn't fully tested in all conditions...thats why they are #1" Let me explain to you that I seem to be in the center of this turmoil because I tested the Mirage and found, IMO, design flaws which I also attribute to inadequate testing in an attempt to rush a product to the market. Therefore, I must disagree with you when you stated "GKF wouldn't put their name behind something which isn't fully tested in all conditions". It's a matter of fact that they had to make quite a few modifications to the rest long after it was released to the market. So, not only do I disagree with you comments; but, GKF's actions indicate that your comments are incorrect.

Then you stated on that other forum, "As and when pictures and the actual rest come out I'm sure we will all agree its a nice idea, and I'd even bet some of you sceptics will go and buy or try one...though I do hope that those who do will post their findings...lets not bash...lets state facts...life's nicer that way." I find several things wrong with this statement. First, "I'm sure we will all agree it's a nice idea...". That's an assumption that has no basis of fact and then you request "...let's state facts...". Seems like a 'double standard' to me. Then again, I could just be reading this wrong. Maybe you can better explain who you're trying to convince and why. Since visuals of their products seem to be a secret, how does someone so far away get so intimately involved. Again, where are the facts/pictures?

Now we get to your posts on this forum where YOU brought ME into the dialogue. Somewhat like you, "I will not intentionally knock anyone or any product...its not in my nature,"I will however speak my mind, and if my peers (you) or my sponsors don't like it...sorry but I've said it and its staying, though if i'm wrong i will say sorry." The difference between us is that I DO NOT have any sponsors. If you checked to find out that "... Moonge and Cornfed do not nor have not worked for GKF..", then should we understand that you have an intimate relationship with GKF and that probably they are one of your sponsors?

Then further in your post, you state "...whick like any manufacturer, they are putting their reputaion on the line with them...so rest asurred they have been fully tested, and they work." Again, this is an assumption that I find fallible. They put their name on the Mirage and, as stated above, had to modify it long after it was released to the market. BTW, their modifications didn't totally address the faults I found in my testing of their product.

I will guarantee you that I do not "bitch" about something that I've not tried and tested. If I find the product to have merits, I'll state the facts just as you said you would. If I find the product to have faults, I'll state the facts just as you said you would. I think that meets the standards YOU set and I totally agree with this as the Professional approach by any unassociated source.

And that brings me to my last disagreement with your post. I don't know who you've been talking to but, I AM NOT associated in any way with Muzzy. I am not a shooter like you, but a humble shop owner who strives to get a better understanding of available products. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> I have tested the Muzzy product extensively and, like I previously stated, prodded Muzzy about some minor improvements that I would like to see. I made comments about the faults that I found in the GKF Mirage rest (and only that rest because many of their rests are excellent) and got nothing but flack because there are some in the &quot;GKF Brotherhood&quot; who took offense.

So be it. Like you said above, &quot;I will however speak my mind,..&quot;. I will back this up, however, with factual data and invitations for anyone to analyze my tests/findings. You should also note that the only thing I did in my previous posts was disagree with 'verbage' that was expounded by the &quot;Brotherhood&quot;.

Good shooting to you.
