That rubber tubing just naturally flaps around and makes noise when you release. Only way to silence it is to get rid of it.

No peep is 'self aligning.' You have to orient them in the string so that they rotate square to your eye at full draw. They are quite dependable and predictable if your bow is set up with a quality string with about 20-25 twists and has been shot enough to get it settled in to it's service length. I'll shoot a couple of hundred arrows on a new string before I even attempt to install a peep.

I also think it's best to use a peep with at leasta quarter-inch hole on a hunting bow. Easy to see through in low light AND, if for some reason the peep doesn't turnperfectly square to your eye, you've got a big enough hole to still be able to see through it.
