That is actually a very common thing in injured deer. The antler on the opposite side will usually be deformed. I worked on a White-tail deer farm and we would, from time to time, get injured deer from the game commish. for rehab and such. One deer we got had been hit be a car on the left side. He had serious injuries and lost his front leg because of it. Anyways, his rack the next year was quite impressive, on the left side. It was a main beam 6 on that side with nearly coke can bases. The right side was barely a fork. Strange to see really.
