That deer needed several hours at least and no wet conditions to be found. Even if it isn't raining, if the ground is wet, it's gonna be very very hard to find a deer that isn't bleeding profusly.

If you hunt the rain...You gotta make the shot perfect, so he falls in sight. Otherwise, depending on the terrain you hunt... You may never find him.

Oh yeah, and we all have an obligation to finish what we started.. So don't give up and come back for advice if needed... Make sure your marking the blood trail with TP so you can see if he crosses his own trail and 'cause rain wont wash tp away
