Sorry but rain dripping from the trees will not wash blood away. If you hit him where you said you did the bucks is dead. I have not seen a double lung deer run over 80 yds, but that does not mean it can not happen. I am just amazed on how many "I hit right behind the shoulder" deer are not fond.
From the last spot you fond blood do a grid search, can some buddiescome and help you. Where do you live?If it is in MI I will come help you!!
Second I make it a rule, If I do not see the deer go down I stay in my tree for 2 hours no matter where I hit him.
