Default RE: Hunting in the rain (VERY BAD EXPERIENCE)

Hey i posted a note here about hunting in the rain, everyone told me that the deer move alot, so i decided to go. Sure enough about 6 oclock, it wasn't raining but still dripping from the trees, a nice buck come walking in and i took a shot at 10 yards. I thought i hit perfect saw the arrow go in right behind the front shoulder. I watched him run and stop about 20 yards away, and he began walking away. He got to about 50 yards and then started running again. I searched for blood and found a really good trail, but when i got to the point where i believe he started running, i found no blood, and with all the rain it was washing away. I lost the trail completely, and after spending an hour looking for the trail to continue, i decided since it was a good hit, and i did have a lot of blood that he couldn't of gone too far and was going to search for him in the morning. So i spent all day searching the woods well for about 200-300 yards away from the last spot i saw him aside of some thick slashing behind me, which would mean he woulda ran a complete circle around me into them. I'm going to check there tonight, i'll keep everyone posted, if you have any suggestions please post them, thanx.
