I do a combination of tipping the can and grunting every 25 - 30 minutes.

If you click the link you'll hear it, but you'll also hear why I dislike the can call. When you tip it over, it makes a scraping noise that I dislike. I only use it if I notice bucks chasing does, otherwise I just grunt.

I've called in deer using this combination before, so it definitely works.
