I walked up my back ridge the other day and saw loads of rubs and scrapes. I'm talking 200 or more!!! My question is this---how many scrapes do you think one buck can cover, or make? This amount of scrapes can't possibly be from 1 or 2 bucks, can it? I saw foot around pines chewed to pieces so there has to be at least one monster buck up in there. There are scrapes that are 8 foot across!!! The rut isn't till late here in the mountains of Arkansas and this just doesn't make much sence to me. Unless there are alot of bucks that are all competeing with each other for dominence. What do you rub and scrape hunters think of this??? Plus I didn't smell any urine in a single one of the scrapes so I don't think they're pissing down their back legs into the scrapes yet. Would like to hear some of your opinions on this.
