Where did you hit the turkey? What kind of broadhead or tip were you using? Did the turkey attempt to get airborne? Where you on the ground or in a stand? Did you use any calls?
i hit him about 3 inches below where the feathers start on his neck, the bh was a 125grn, sabre-titanium fixed to a carbon express, terminator arrow, shot with a 70 fred bear btr bow, the turkey did jump into the air but quickly came back to the ground, i was sitting on a stand, and i did use a call but they didn't seem to respond to it any while calling, they came in off the field about 20 minutes. later
Sorry for no pics, but we took them with a film camera and it will prolly be a long time before we get pics back, cuz it was a new roll, but i will definetly post them when we get them. Thank for the comment
I am pretty sure that u can take either sex of turkey in the fall
