RE: rain?
not to sound like a smart @$$..but a couple of you said something along the lines of being more selective on shots...and taking JUST perfect shots. i wont take ANYTHING but a PERFECT shot on a NICE clear calm day let alone raining. we owe it to the animals to not make pin cusions out of them IMO...even "perfect" shots go bad or noone would ever wound or loose a deer. never know when you hit that invisible branch..or it jumps/ducks the string..or you tourqe or flinch etc etc..perfect shots go bad....i wont take a marginal or bad shot because if they go bad it can go REAL bad. im sure your guys just meant you like them closer in the rain but you understand what i mean?? just kinda...sounded bad...them perfect shots they drop within 50yds of the tree and you watch them go down is what we all strive for..but lets be realistic..even pros cant do that 100% of the time.....
