I don't quite understand your question but calls and "can" calls can be used to pull deer into your location when used properly. I'm not a fan of random calling however if you use calling sparsely you could catch a roaming deer that is out of site to come to your location. I usually hold off any calling until I have a visual on a whitetail so I can study it's body language when I call.
Calls can be very effective at pulling whitetails however calls are not an answer all. They work at times and at times have no influence on deer movement. On thing I've never seen however is a negative reaction to a call.
