Default RE: Home-made vs store bought scent killer

havent made any home brew yet...been using White Ligning and Scent Killer though. both seem to work great. i had gas on my hand and sprayed white lighning on it..gas smell was gone! got some Active Scrape in the truck today..holy cow does that stuff SMELL i wanted to puke. they need to make them bottles easy to pour from! but thinking on my toes i grabbed the scent killer..spray spray spray...GONE! i thought for sure i was going to have to steam clean and scrub the truck! i definently found alot of uses for that stuff and my clothes dont have that "smell" anymore. dirt...wet..fall leave kinda dirty smell they used to have. im satisfied thus far....i had the same problem you did..deer can come from everywhere and the wind is never the same..changing every 20 minutes sometimes..so ive gone scent free and i think itll help.

had 2 doe come in boarderline downwind..one stayed and ate at 10yds away..the other chose to eat UNDER my stand. i couldnt see her because she was straight down. i was like nooo its over..i walked around that tree 100 times setting up the climber. she never flinched...till she hit my pull up rope that i forgot to pull up and didnt spray!! she jumped back a few feet but relaxed..she knew something was wrong..she was big and old..hung around another minute and then snorted once..i laughed coz she didnt wind me. just knew something was up..25foot up
